The History of RAM Construction Enterprises, Inc.,

I started in business January 16 of 1976 by myself. I started with a helper and did primarily residential projects. And then by the beginning of the 80s, I started to be more involved with commercial work. I’ve worked on churches, fire houses, ambulance centers. In 1986, I took on my first pre-engineered building manufacture.

And by the 90s, I was doing nothing but commercial work. At that point we were running somewhere between 20 and 25 employees

Our evolution into being a purely commercial construction group created a natural opening for us to diversify our services and bring in-house more of the steps that were previously outsourced or delivered by other contractors. We started to do more of our own excavation, doing more of our own reinforced concrete foundations and structures, more steel erected in-house, and a full range of carpentry specialties. Having the capability to do each step of the project ourselves allows us to have complete control over the quality of the work, the time taken and the budget. So, we can pass the benefits of those efficiencies on to the customer in the form of higher quality outcomes, timely completions and often with considerable cost savings. These are the reasons many of our previous customers choose to work with us over and over again.

I’ve been in the business of construction for over 40 years. I stay very involved personally in all the projects. And I like to tell people that we hold their hand through the projects, right from the beginning. I always like to offer them a complete turnkey project through to the finish and make sure they’re completely satisfied. At this point in time, most of my customers come from word of mouth, and a lot of them are repeat customers, some of them many times. Importantly, almost all of them become friends!
